Dosage/Direction for Use

Metronidazole 250 mg / 500 mg Each day d : Adults: For the treatment of rectal and urinary tract infections, the usual dose should be one 500 mg tablet every 2 days (500 mg / 500 mg / 1 g) for 10 to 14 days, depending on the severity of the infection. In pelvic inflammatory disease, the usual dose should be one 500 mg tablet every 4 days (500 mg / 875 mg / 1 g) for 14 to 18 days, depending on the severity of the infection. Nitroimidraarzid 250 mg / 500 mg / 2 g is usually sufficient for the treatment of rectal and urinary tract infections in adults and should not be used in children.     Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant. It is not known if Flagyl Tablets can pass into breast milk.

    Do not take Flagyl Tablets if you are takingoral contraceptives
